Role Summary

We are seeking a certified Sonographer to support advanced diagnostic imaging within our Lifestyle Medicine clinic. This role combines specialised ultrasound expertise with a strong focus on preventive care, cardiometabolic risk assessment, and early disease detection, contributing meaningfully to holistic and data-driven patient evaluations.

The Sonographer will be responsible for performing a range of specialised and general ultrasound examinations, including arterial stiffness measurements (PWV, AIx), brachial artery flow-mediated dilation (FMD), carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) with plaque analysis, and general abdominal imaging. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient education and lifestyle-focused care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound imaging, including:

Arterial Stiffness Measurement (Pulse Wave Velocity [PWV], Augmentation Index [AIx]

Brachial Artery Flow-Mediated Dilation (FMD)

Carotid Intima-Media Thickness (CIMT) with plaque analysis

General and abdominal ultrasound scans (e.g. liver, renal, aorta, gallbladder).

  • Prepare comprehensive imaging reports with accurate measurements and preliminary impressions for physician review
  • Calibrate and maintain diagnostic ultrasound equipment used in cardiometabolic risk assessment
  • Educate patients on the procedures and assist in integrating findings into lifestyle treatment plans
  • Ensure high-quality imaging following established protocols and clinical standards
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Singapore's healthcare regulations
  • Collaborate with physicians, health coaches, and nutritionists as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Assisting the Head of Clinical Operations on quality checks and internal audits to maintain licensing compliance

Requirements

  • Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or Medical Ultrasonography
  • Registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) Singapore
  • Overseas-trained sonographers must apply for full registration with AHPC
  • Minimum 2 years experience in vascular and general sonography
  • Proficiency in performing: Vascular ultrasound (CIMT, FMD, PWV, AIx) and abdominal and small parts ultrasound
  • Familiarity with ultrasound devices used in research-grade vascular measurements (e.g: SphygmoCor or similar)
  • High level of attention to detail and image quality
