Solutions Specialist (Payments)

Our Client is a growing global payments technology provider.

Responsibilities

We're looking for an experienced Payments Solutions Specialist to support solution design, implementation, and optimisation across payments systems. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technical execution, providing subject matter expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

• Act as a functional expert on payment systems, working with internal teams to interpret client needs and translate them into clear solution requirements
• Support development and QA teams to ensure alignment between business rules, system configuration, and customer expectations
• Provide hands-on input during testing phases to validate functionality against requirements
• Share industry knowledge and best practices through documentation, mentoring, and training
• Monitor changes in payment regulations, standards, and technologies to keep solutions up to date.

Requirements

• At least 5 to 8 years of experience in functional analysis, payments systems, or solution delivery
• Strong understanding of end-to-end payment flows, systems integration, and regulatory context
• Experience drafting functional specifications and business requirement documents
• Proficient in SQL and at least one backend scripting language (e.g. C, PL/SQL, Java, or Unix scripting)
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git and Jenkins is a plus
• Excellent client-facing communication skills and a proactive approach to delivery.
