Solutions Sales Engineer

The Solutions Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting the Sales Team in understanding customer requirements, developing and presenting suitable maritime digital solutions, and ensuring a successful transition from pre-sales engagement through onboard implementation and post-deployment stabilization.

Based in Singapore, the role works closely with customers across the region, as well as Sales, Solutions, Engineering and Operations teams, to translate operational and business requirements into practical, reliable and commercially viable technical solutions. The role will support customer presentations, solution demonstrations, technical proposals, Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) and solution scoping, while coordinating with internal teams to ensure projects remain on track and solutions perform as intended in real-world maritime environments. This is a customer-facing role suited to an engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, customer engagement, sales and project delivery.

Job Scope

. Support customer meetings, technical discussions, solution presentations and product demonstrations alongside the Sales Team.

. Assist in developing technical proposals, RFP/RFI responses, BOMs and cost estimations.

. Understand customer requirements and translate them into practical maritime digital solutions.

. Execute and support Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs), pilots and product evaluations, including configuration, testing and performance validation.

. Support solution implementation, commissioning, go-live and vessel onboarding activities.

. Perform basic to intermediate network configuration and troubleshooting, including IP addressing, VLANs, Wi-Fi, firewall rules and routing.

. Support integration of iO3 solutions with onboard systems, cameras, sensors, connectivity equipment and third-party platforms.

. Coordinate with Sales, Solutions, Engineering and Operations teams, as well as third-party vendors, to ensure smooth project delivery.

. Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting to vessels and shore-based users, and support post-implementation stabilization.

. Maintain technical and internal documentation, product knowledge and deployment standards, while keeping abreast of relevant maritime technology and industry developments.

. Support post-implementation stabilization and knowledge transfer to operations and support teams.

Requirements

. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field. Fresh graduates are welcome.

. Basic understanding of IP networking, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs and Wi-Fi.

. Familiarity with routers, switches and firewalls knowledge of Linux, IP cameras/CCTV, NVR systems, cloud/SaaS, APIs or satellite communications will be an advantage.

. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

. Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and troubleshoot issues independently.

. Good organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, PoCs and stakeholders while keeping track of deadlines and follow-ups.

. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with customers, vendors and internal teams in a collaborative environment.

. Proactive, responsible and adaptable, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

. Willingness to travel occasionally overseas, including vessel/shipyard visits, and work outside normal office hours when required for installations, commissioning or customer support.

Work Experience

. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, networking, systems engineering, technical support, solution implementation, or a related technical or customer-facing role.

. Experience in maritime, satellite communications, telecommunications, industrial networking, CCTV systems, or related technology sectors will be an advantage.
