This role sits at the intersection of technology, investments, and business transformation within a global investment company. You will be responsible for shaping how critical platforms are designed and evolve - working directly with senior stakeholders to turn complex business needs into practical, scalable systems that drive investment decision-making and operational efficiency.

This is a role for someone who enjoys influencing direction, not just documenting it, and who is comfortable operating across both strategy and execution.

The Role

• Define how key business platforms should be architected, integrated, and scaled across a modern technology landscape
• Work directly with business teams to break down complex problems into implementable solutions
• Shape and guide engineering teams without owning delivery execution line-by-line
• Simplify and modernise existing systems, reducing complexity and improving performance
• Act as a decision-maker on design trade-offs (speed vs scalability, build vs buy, etc.)
• Identify gaps in current technology landscape and introduce better ways of building and connecting systems
• Influence how teams adopt new tools, patterns, and technologies without over-engineering

Your Profile

• 8+ years of experience in Architecture design.
• Experience designing real systems that are in production, not just frameworks or roadmaps
• Strong understanding of how modern applications are built (APIs, cloud services, integrations)
• Ability to communicate clearly with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable making decisions in ambiguous environments with evolving requirements
• Background in environments where systems directly support revenue-generating or critical business functions

• Has moved beyond pure engineering into architecture, but still understands how things actually get built
