Job Summary

You will lead the design, build, and operation of Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and platform services in enterprise and regulated environments, driving secure, scalable, and automated cloud solutions that enhance software delivery and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, manage, and operate cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure to meet enterprise and regulated environment requirements
  • Implement and maintain Azure platform services including Azure Landing Zones, Azure Policy, Azure Container Apps, Azure App Service, API Management, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Defender for Cloud, and Azure Cost Management to ensure robust cloud operations
  • Operate within Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) environments by enforcing cloud governance, security, compliance, identity, network, and operational controls
  • Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code using Azure Bicep, Terraform, or equivalent tools to automate provisioning and configuration management
  • Design, implement, and operate CI/CD and GitOps pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, ShipHATS, or similar platforms to automate build, test, security scanning, deployment promotion, rollback, and release quality gates
  • Apply DevSecOps practices by implementing platform guardrails, secure software delivery, automated quality checks, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, policy-as-code, and compliance controls
  • Engineer identity and access management solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, PIM, access reviews, and enforce least-privilege access governance
  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Microsoft Copilot to enhance software delivery, code quality, documentation, testing, and developer productivity
  • Integrate, secure, and operate AI/ML platform services on Azure, including configuring access controls, network security, service monitoring, and production-readiness for AI-enabled applications
  • Apply working knowledge of Active Directory and enterprise identity integration concepts including directory services, group-based access, authentication flows, and hybrid identity scenarios
  • Implement modern authentication and authorization standards such as SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, and JWT for enterprise application integration
  • Support containerization, APIs, cloud-native application patterns, and production-readiness practices to ensure scalable and reliable platform services
  • Provide operational support for production cloud-native applications or shared platform capabilities, ensuring reliability, monitoring, deployment, and incident response
  • Translate platform architecture into reusable engineering patterns, templates, developer self-service capabilities, and platform services that enable product teams to consume with minimal friction
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate effectively in an agile, product-oriented environment to incrementally build and improve platform capabilities based on adoption feedback
