We are seeking a reliable, hands-on, and highly disciplined Site Coordinator to oversee full-time on-site coordination for solar EPC projects within oil & gas plants, industrial factories, and high-compliance operational environments. This role serves as the key interface between client representatives, facility owners/developers, site safety teams, SolarGy project management, subcontractors, and workers, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient project execution within live industrial facilities.
The ideal candidate must be operationally strong, safety-conscious, and capable of managing complex stakeholder coordination in regulated industrial environments where access, permit controls, and operational restrictions are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Site Coordination & Interface Management
- Act as the primary on-site coordinator between client/factory representatives, developers, safety officers, project managers, subcontractors, and SolarGy workers to ensure smooth daily execution.
- Maintain full-time on-site presence during critical activities including material deliveries, plant access coordination, permit clearances, hoisting/lifting operations, shutdown coordination, toolbox meetings, inspections, and key construction activities.
- Coordinate daily site activities to ensure works are executed according to approved schedules, permit conditions, safety controls, and operational restrictions within oil & gas / factory environments.
- Manage site interfaces across operations, safety, logistics, QA/QC, and project teams to minimise disruptions, delays, and scope conflicts.
- Ensure work sequencing aligns with client operational requirements, production constraints, and developer expectations.
Safety, Compliance & Permit Coordination
- Coordinate closely with client safety teams, WSH personnel, and internal teams to ensure compliance with site-specific HSE, PTW (Permit-to-Work), LOTO, hot work, lifting, and confined space requirements where applicable.
- Support preparation, submission, and tracking of safety documentation, work permits, induction records, and daily compliance requirements.
- Monitor site activities to ensure workers and subcontractors comply with client safety protocols, PPE requirements, and approved method statements.
- Participate in safety briefings, toolbox meetings, audits, and incident reporting as required.
Progress Monitoring, QA/QC & Reporting
- Monitor site progress, manpower deployment, work quality, and material usage against project schedules and milestones.
- Coordinate QA/QC inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and client standards.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve site issues relating to design, logistics, access, safety, or execution in a timely manner.
- Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, issue logs, and coordination records for Project Managers and stakeholders.
- Support project meetings by providing accurate updates on site conditions, constraints, and progress.
Logistics & Material Coordination
- Coordinate site deliveries, storage, material movement, and lifting schedules to ensure efficient execution while complying with facility restrictions.
- Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and internal procurement teams to ensure timely material flow and minimise downtime.
- Support site access arrangements, equipment mobilisation, and worker coordination across multiple stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-5 years of site coordination, supervisory, or project coordination experience, preferably in solar EPC, oil & gas, industrial plants, or factory construction environments
- Strong understanding of industrial site safety, PTW systems, construction sequencing, QA/QC, and stakeholder coordination
- Experience working within live operational facilities / high-compliance environments is highly preferred
- Basic technical knowledge of solar PV systems, structural works, and electrical coordination is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage multiple stakeholders including clients, developers, safety teams, and workers
- Proactive, disciplined, and capable of resolving site issues independently
- Must be willing to be fully site-based and stationed on Jurong Island as required by project needs
- Possession of own transport (motorbike/car) preferred for site accessibility and mobility
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, reporting tools, and basic project coordination systems
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, pharmaceutical, or similar industrial environments
- Familiarity with strict permit systems, shutdown coordination, and operational interface management
- Strong safety mindset with ability to operate effectively in high-risk environments
- Able to balance client expectations, project timelines, and worker coordination effectively
