Solar Photovoltaics (PV) Project Supervisor / Coordinator

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Coordinate with relevant parties for solar PV system project delivery, including material submission, material delivery, PV panel and system installation, containment installation, cable connection, earthing connection, etc.

2. Coordinate with PV panel pre-installation testing, post-installation string testing, and other relevant on-site testing.

3. Coordinate with relevant parties for PV system BIM model preparation and submission if required (no modelling/ revit knowledge required).

4. Oversee PV system and relevant installation works and monitor progress. Prepare for and submit weekly and monthly progress report to project manager.

5. Monitor project quality and safety compliance.

6. Inspect and verify for on-site installation according to shop drawings. Take record and communicate for any changes.

7. Prepare for or coordinate with relevant party for as-built drawing submission.

8. Coordinate with relevant parties for authority submission tracking and project T&C.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

1. Understand basic design principles of solar photovoltaic systems with experience working in the industry.

2. Understand PV system and SLD drawings.

3. Familiar with low tension electrical systems.

4. Familiar with SS 638 standard and safety requirements.

5. Able to work at heights ,including climbing ladders and accessing rooftops.

6. Ability to work in fast-paced /ambiguous environments.

7. Able to take ownership and work independently under light supervision.

8. Flexible and willing to learn.

Good to have:

1. BAPV/BIPV project experience.

2. Knowledge on BESS and hybrid PV + BESS system.

3. Knowledge on SCDF requirements for PV systems.

4. Knowledge on lightning protection system.
