Software Testing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct Analysis & Design (A&D) workshops to gather and document business requirements.
• Perform impact assessments to evaluate system changes, enhancements, and integrations.
• Design, develop, configure, and maintain solutions within the Avaloq Banking Suite.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application and system issues reported by internal and external stakeholders.
• Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts, including BAU non-regression scenarios.
• Execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Document test results, maintain test evidence, and manage defect logging and tracking.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to ensure solution quality and successful implementation.
• Conduct functional walkthroughs, demonstrations, and workshops for stakeholders.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer (KT) sessions and support handover activities to BAU teams.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Test Managers to monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery.
• Support production releases and post-implementation activities as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working with the Avaloq Banking Suite.
• Experience in Avaloq configuration, development, and solution implementation.
• Experience in software testing, including SIT and UAT execution.
• Experience in banking and wealth management domains.
• Experience in test case preparation, defect management, and non-regression testing.
• Experience in system analysis, impact assessment, and business requirement gathering.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving application and system issues.
• Experience in documentation, test evidence preparation, and reporting.
• Experience in stakeholder management and client interaction.
• Experience in conducting workshops, presentations, and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project environments.
• ABRS (Avaloq Certified Business Refactoring Specialist) certification is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
