Software Tester (Cards Domain)

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements related to banking/card systems.
• Design, write, and execute test cases based on requirements and user stories.
• Test card-based applications involving credit cards and debit cards.
• Verify transaction flows across payment systems and ensure data integrity.
• Identify, log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Participate in test planning, test execution, and reporting activities.
• Support UAT cycles and production validation when required.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in software testing.
• Basic understanding of the banking domain, especially card products (credit/debit cards).
• Familiarity with card lifecycle processes: issuance, activation, transactions, settlements, disputes, and chargebacks.
• Awareness of payment networks (e.g., Visa, MasterCard).
• Understanding of card processing systems like SICS or similar platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance related to card payments.
