We are looking for a Software Quality Engineer to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and data migration validation for a large-scale system implementation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring system reliability, data accuracy, and smooth production cutover.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret functional specifications, test scenarios, and test cases
- Design additional test scenarios to enhance test coverage
- Prepare and manage test data (new, migrated, or dummy data)
- Execute UAT in accordance with defined SOPs, including schedules, environments, and defect logging
- Track defects, monitor resolutions, and ensure timely closure
- Perform testing using manual and automated testing tools where required
- Validate migrated data through file comparison (e.g. Excel) and system UI checks
- Support end-to-end integration testing, production data migration, and system cutover activities
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Software Quality Engineering or equivalent roles
- Hands-on experience across the SDLC
- Strong understanding of test automation and risk-based testing approaches
- Proven experience designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test suites
- Experience in manual and automated testing for web, mobile, and API applications
- Familiarity with cross-browser, cross-platform, and responsive UI testing
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data validation and migration verification
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently
- Detail-oriented, collaborative, and dependable team player
Nice to Have
- CSTP and/or CSQA certification
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related disciplines
