Job Scope Overview:
We are seeking for an Associate Test Analyst who specializes in provisioning software quality assurance services in the BFSI (banking, finance, securities and insurance) domain to join our team. The role requires a strong foundation in the software testing practice, particularly in functionaltesting.
Key Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for participating in the various software functional testing project phases, including Function Test, System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, and subsequent Regression Test, comprising the respective stages of test procedures development, test data and environment preparation, test execution, defects logging and follow-up, and status update. In doing so, ensures accuracy in test execution and observations writing.
- Participate in knowledge transfer sessions by client-side stakeholders including Business Analysts and Developers to understand business requirements, key dependencies and implemented application workflow and behaviours, to ensure test procedurals accuracy.
- Work alongside test designers to develop procedures and data for test cases and subsequently, to prepare and execute test, record and report observations, participate in triage, and follow-up on defects till closure, for throughout the test project duration.
- Assist test team leader on velocity estimation required for testing related activities based on assigned or additional scope, by providing relevant input, comprising test cases of various complexity levels, in support of service delivery.
Experience, Qualifications and Requirements:
- At least 1-5 years of work experience in providing software quality assurance in the BFSI industry, holding test execution roles, and preferably with experience in test design work.
- We are also welcome fresh graduates.
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree with major in the Computer Science or equivalent field, and preferably certified in Software Testing (e.g. CSTE, CSQA, ISTQB CTFL, etc.) and familiar with software development lifecycle (SDLC), including Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps.
- Receptive and keenness in learning, meticulous, analytical and competent in problem-solving, with good interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English language, including for both written and verbal communications. Possess clear thought process and able to articulate clearly.
