Your Role as a Zenika Consultant: QA Engineer

You'll be working closely with multidisciplinary teams - developers, product owners, designers, and client stakeholders - to ensure the software delivered is stable, intuitive, and production-ready. You bring a balance of technical expertise, curiosity, and a passion for continuous improvement.

What you will do

• Work hands on within cross functional teams to test and validate web portals and browser-based applications used by real users at scale.

• Design, develop, and execute automated web test cases for critical user journeys, ensuring reliable regression coverage.

• Perform manual exploratory testing on web portals to uncover usability, edge-case, and integration issues.

• Translate user stories and requirements into clear test scenarios and acceptance criteria, with a strong focus on web UI behaviour.

• Create and maintain test automation scripts using tools such as Katalon, Selenium, or equivalent web automation frameworks.

• Identify, report, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, collaborating closely with developers to drive timely fixes.

• Execute API and database-level validation to ensure data integrity across web workflows.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by running and maintaining automated web tests as part of continuous delivery.

• Continuously improve web QA practices, test coverage, and automation reliability.

What you bring

• 3+ years of hands-on QA experience, with a strong focus on web portal or web application testing.

• Proven experience designing and maintaining automated web UI tests using tools such as Katalon, Selenium, or similar.

• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, browser behaviour, and common web defects.

• Experience balancing manual and automated testing, with the ability to decide what should be automated.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments and working closely with developers during sprint cycles.

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build or deployment flows.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

• Good communication and collaboration skills - comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Working knowledge of SQL and database testing to validate web application data.

• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g. AWS or Azure) is a plus.
