We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Software Engineering Manager / Head of Software Engineering to join our team on a 2-year direct contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation and the leadership skills to guide a team in developing large-scale, high-availability software systems.
About The Job
- Define and align the engineering vision, strategy, and direction with the organization's goals.
- Partner with stakeholders to prioritize roadmaps, create long-term technical plans, and ensure they meet both business needs and infrastructure requirements.
- Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders and engage in technical conversations with your team. You'll need to be hands-on, with a strong foundation in coding, system design, and the ability to work with full-stack technologies like Next.js/React.js and Java/TypeScript.
- Manage a team of at least 5 software engineers, providing regular feedback, mentorship, and guidance. You will also assist with recruitment, particularly for senior hires.
Skills And Experience Required
At least 3-5 years of team management experience with a minimum of 5 direct reports. Experience with large-scale, high-availability software systems.
A strong foundation in coding and the ability to do hands-on work in system design. Experience in modern full-stack web application technologies is preferred.
Certifications such as Agile, PMP, CITPM, and Scrum Master would be highly preferred.
