PAI-CAM is a mobile-driven AI visioninspection platform for manufacturing. It guides operators to capture inspection images on a mobile device, processes them through an on-premises AIbackend, and delivers results through a web interface for reporting andtraceability. The platform helps manufacturers replace manual inspection with astandardised, automated workflow.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Software Engineerto work on the integration, deployment, and operation of the PAI-CAM platform.You will collaborate with the backend and R&D teams to ensure all systemcomponents work correctly together - from the mobile application through to theAI processing pipeline and web reporting interface.

Candidates with networking or ITinfrastructure background who are interested to expand into software and system integration roles are encouraged to apply. This role will also involve workingwithin enterprise IT environments, requiring awareness of system securitypractices, network configurations, and deployment constraints.

What You Will Do

. Support system connectivity setup andvalidation, including service communication, network access, and basic environment configuration.

. Work with basic network and systemconfiguration considerations, including service connectivity, access control, and deployment constraints in enterprise environments.

. Follow basic security best practicesduring system deployment and integration, including secure communication (HTTPS), access control, and safe handling of system configurations.

. Deploy and configure the PAI-CAMplatform (backend server, AI services, web interface) in internal and customer environments.

. Work on backend and API integrationtasks using REST APIs and Python / Flask services.

. Validate and test that data flowscorrectly across system components and network communication paths: mobile capture, API layer, backend server, AI inference, and result output.

. Handle integration with externalsystems such as MES or ERP, where required by the project scope.

. Understand and contribute to systemarchitecture, including how different components communicate across mobile, backend, and network layers.

. Participate in system designdiscussions and contribute ideas to improve system architecture and integration workflows.

. Assist in supporting system validationprocesses such as vulnerability scanning or penetration testing activities bypreparing system configurations, logs, and required information for review.

. Debug and troubleshoot issues acrosssystem components by analysing logs, tracing data flow, and identifying rootcauses.

. Execute development and deploymenttasks with ownership and follow through to completion.

. Prepare deployment documentation,configuration guides, and handover materials for internal and site use.

What We Are Looking For

. Bachelor's degree or equivelent in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

. 2-5 years of experience in softwaredevelopment, system integration, or backend-related roles.

. Solid understanding of REST APIs andclient-server architecture.

. Hands-on experience with Python orbackend development - Flask or similar frameworks preferred.

. Practical understanding of networkingconcepts (IP addressing, HTTP/HTTPS, service connectivity, basic firewall awareness) and how they apply in real deployment environments.

. Basic awareness of system securitypractices such as authentication, secure communication, and vulnerability assessment processes is an advantage.

. Able to work independently on assignedtasks with minimal supervision.

. Good communication skills and able tocollaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

Good to Have

. Background in network engineering, ITinfrastructure, or system administration, with interest to transition into software system integration.

. Prior involvement in systemdeployment, integration testing, or on-premise rollouts.

. Familiarity with manufacturing systems(MES, ERP, QMS) or industrial environments.

. Exposure to IT infrastructure, networktroubleshooting, or working in environments with security or compliance requirements.

. Interest in AI or computer vision - nospecialist knowledge required.
