Job Type - Contract: 18 Months
Location: East, Singapore

Job Summary
We are looking for a Software Engineer (System) - Java to join a back-office development team responsible for designing and delivering high-volume, performance-intensive software solutions. This role involves full-cycle development, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze system requirements
• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions
• Produce and manage SDLC deliverables, including: - Business Rules - Software Requirement Specifications - Software Architecture & Design Documents - Interface Specifications - Source Code & Test Specifications - Operations & Maintenance Manuals - Training Documentation
• Support daily application operations and resolve issues
• Collaborate with stakeholders on requirements, design, and testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant software development experience
• Experience completing at least one full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).

Technical Expertise:

• Strong experience in Java / JEE enterprise application development, Web-based applications (UNIX/Linux and Windows environments), Database integration (JDBC, SQL)
  Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices
  Spring Framework and Spring Boot
  Database design, optimization, and performance tuning

Preferred Experience

• Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) systems
• EMV and PCI DSS standards

UI Engineer Requirements

• Strong understanding of access control principles and implementation
• Experience designing intuitive, data-heavy graphical user interfaces (GUI)
• Familiarity with ExtJS JavaScript framework is a plus
