Software Engineer

Job Summary

Join a cross-functional team to design, develop, and deliver high-quality web frontend and backend applications using modern technologies and cloud platforms, emphasizing automation and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop web frontend applications using frameworks such as React.js or Next.js to create responsive user interfaces
• Develop server-side web applications and backend APIs using Node.js to support application functionality
• Write automated functional and unit tests using JavaScript testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha to ensure code quality
• Build and maintain databases that support backend services and applications
• Leverage cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform to design and deploy scalable applications
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to assist in build and release automation processes
• Participate in pair programming and conduct code reviews to improve code quality and share knowledge
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Quality Engineers, and UI/UX Designers to deliver features that meet user needs
• Apply Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices to streamline development and deployment
• Use version control systems like Git to manage and track code changes
• Adapt to work on multiple platforms to support a versatile, cross-functional development team

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of software development experience
• Strong fundamentals in JavaScript and TypeScript to write robust and maintainable code
• Experience with front-end development framework such as React.js / Next.js
• Experience in server-side web application development using Node.js
• Experience of leveraging on cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) etc
• Familiar with Javascript unit testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha
• Familiar with Agile and Continuous Integration and Delivery Practices
• Familiar with version control using Git
• Demonstrated collaboration skills with effective interpersonal and presentation abilities to contribute to team success
