Job Description

We are partnering with an innovative technology company to hire a Software Engineer focused on advancing the intelligence and autonomy of next-generation robotic systems deployed at scale globally.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about building real-world robotics solutions, combining algorithm development, system integration, and high-performance software to enable autonomous decision-making and navigation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design and develop intelligent decision-making frameworks to enable robust and adaptive robot behaviour in dynamic environments
  • Build and enhance path planning capabilities for efficient navigation across complex, real-world spaces
  • Develop motion control strategies to ensure smooth, safe, and reliable robot operations
  • Optimize system performance to meet real-time requirements and ensure responsiveness in live environments
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., mapping, perception) to ensure seamless integration across the autonomy stack
  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies across both simulation and real-world environments to ensure system reliability
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in system architecture, scalability, and maintainability
  • Maintain clear and structured documentation for developed features, systems, and test processes

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience developing software for autonomous or robotic systems
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python within a Linux environment
  • Hands-on experience with robotics middleware (e.g., ROS)
  • Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system-level problem solving
  • Knowledge of robotics fundamentals such as kinematics, motion control, and system dynamics
  • Experience working on navigation, motion planning, or control systems in real-world or production environments
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Experience with advanced planning or optimization techniques in dynamic environments
  • Exposure to sensor integration (e.g., LiDAR, vision-based systems, IMU)
  • Familiarity with embedded or edge computing platforms
  • Interest or experience in machine learning or reinforcement learning for robotics
