Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Manage and direct the day-to-day operations of IT services.
Manage outsourced vendors and in-house contractors to meet IT service delivery and operational needs.
Manage change requests, service requests and production support issues, ensuring service levels are met.
Review system designs and technical specifications to ensure requirements are captured and aligned with system objectives.
Review post-production issues, perform root cause analysis and work with vendors to implement preventive measures.
Plan, execute and support system implementation, software/hardware upgrades and security patching.
Manage verification and testing of software patches and application upgrades.
Measure, monitor and continuously improve IT service performance.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in application production support for Java and .NET applications in Unix and Windows environments.
Experience in incident management, problem management, release management, root cause analysis and deployment.
Good understanding of SDLC and experience working with business users, IT teams and external vendors.
Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
Experience with .NET Core.
Familiarity with databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL) and application servers (IIS, WebSphere Application Server).
Prior experience working as a Systems Analyst within a Government organization will be an added advantage.
Good understanding of systems integration within a diverse technology environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and gain consensus from multiple stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and information gathering skills.
Well-organized and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
