POSITION: Software Engineer

Experience: 2–5 years developing enterprise applications with Java, J2EE, JavaScript, jQuery, MS SQL, Postgres, Oracle databases, AWS and Newgen products (NewgenOne, iBPS, ECM/OmniDocs, O2MS/CCM).

JOB DESCRIPTION

• The incumbent will oversee the development and installation of reliable software solutions.
• Major duties involve designing, implementing, and completing quality software projects using JAVA technologies like Spring Boot, SQL/Oracle, J2EE, Junit, Mockito, JQuery and Javascript.
• Candidates should have experience with Eclipse, GitHub, Soap UI, Postman, Jira, and SVN.
• Familiarity with the Newgen Product suite, including NewgenOne, iBPS, ECM/OmniDocs, O2MS/CCM, and strong understanding of business process management concepts is required.
• The preferred candidate will show strong skills in web application security, REST/SOAP API integration, as well as performance and scalability.
• Prior work with third-party integrations such as Corpass, SingPass, or Core Banking is good to have.
• Experience with application servers like Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, or JBoss is preferred.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and Sonar is beneficial.
• Practical experience working on the AWS platform is also an advantage.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• The candidate will be responsible for engaging in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including detailed design, coding, code walkthroughs, peer reviews, unit testing, system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), demonstrations, proof of concepts (POCs), installation, and ongoing maintenance of software modules.
• Duties include preparing essential project documents such as process diagrams, code specifications, code review records, deployment guides, release notes, and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Major responsibilities involve developing and deploying solutions based on defined system requirements, standards, and programming principles. The candidate will participate in rigorous testing procedures, including drafting test cases, performing unit and system tests, and conducting negative testing. Troubleshooting will encompass log analysis and database query optimization.
• Additionally, the incumbent is expected to thoroughly document and present solutions through flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, annotated code, and clear programming practices, ensuring timely completion of project tasks within established parameters.
• Safeguarding operational integrity by maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information is imperative. Furthermore, the candidate will contribute valuable insights by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data related to development and service issues.
• The position requires a proactive and adaptable professional capable of contributing meaningfully to the success of software projects while upholding exemplary quality standards.
