Paathz is an AI-native hospitality workforce platform connecting pre-vetted professionals with hotels and restaurants across Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. We believe hospitality has a visibility problem, not a labour shortage. Our mission is to become the definitive
cross-border talent corridor for the global hospitality industry.
We are Singapore-incorporated (Paathz Pte. Ltd.), approaching a May 2026 beta launch, and backed by a founding team with deep domain expertise in hospitality, technology, and international markets.
The Role
We are looking for a skilled MERN Stack Developer to join our growing team at Paathz Pte Ltd. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications using the MERN stack
- Build responsive and high-performance user interfaces using React.js
- Design and develop RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js
- Work with MongoDB for database design, queries, and optimization
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers
- Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability of applications
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across the application stack
- Participate in code reviews and follow best development practices
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
- Hands-on experience with React.js, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB
- Experience in building RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git
- Understanding of asynchronous programming and data structures
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with state management libraries (Redux/Context API)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Bonus Points
- Background in hospitality, travel-tech, or marketplace/platform businesses
- Familiarity with Singapore regulatory environment (ACRA, MAS, PDPA) and EU frameworks (GDPR, EUSDTA)
- Experience with government grant applications (Startup SG, EDB, IMDA) or sovereign fund reporting
- Exposure to cross-border employment law or international staffing operations
- Fluency in a second language relevant to our markets (French, Arabic, Mandarin, Hindi, Malay)
