Our Technology team isnt here to fix legacy systems its here to build world-class financial products from the ground up that&aposll be used by millions of people around the world.

Were looking for Backend Engineers (Mid to Lead levels) who want to change the world. If you want your work to change the global financial landscape, you might be just who were looking for.

Please note: this role offers the opportunity to relocate to UAE or Spain. You&aposll receive support from Revolut throughout the entire relocation process.

Once you move, you&aposll have the flexibility to work remotely in your new country of residence or on a hybrid model in our offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, Porto, or Krakw.

We have a minimalist approach to using external frameworks, with an emphasis on maintainability and fast turnaround with TDD, DDD and Continuous Integration & Delivery.

What you&aposll be doing

• Building mobile APIs
• Developing microservices to evolve our architecture
• Enhancing core systems such as risk management, fraud detection and payment processing
• Leading greenfield development initiatives
• Enhancing and scaling existing systems to meet evolving needs

What you&aposll need

• Fluency with Java
• 6+ years of experience in backend development
• A bachelor&aposs degree in computer science, maths, physics, or similar field
• A fast learning mindset with a focus on delivering high-impact results
• The ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Fluency in English

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Kotlin or Scala
• A background in financial services or fintech
• Experience in a start-up or scale-up
• Involvement in product-centric development environments
