Software Engineer (Java Backend & Automation)

Our client is a fast-growing, international digital logistics platform specializing in cross-border trade and smart supply chain solutions. By leveraging advanced automation and integrated software systems, they streamline regional operations and connect global markets. To support their expanding technical infrastructure, they are looking to add an adaptable Software Engineer to their Singapore-based engineering team.

Position Overview:

We are hiring a Software Engineer to manage a hybrid scope encompassing core Java backend development, data acquisition systems, and robotic process automation (RPA) workflows. This role supports daily operational requirements while optimizing backend efficiency and automation pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Partner with the technical team to design and develop daily functional requirements.
• Data Acquisition: Design, implement, and scale web scraping systems to harvest data from target websites.
• Workflow Automation: Develop and deploy RPA scripts (including Qmove configurations) to increase business operational efficiency.
• System Maintenance: Provide production environment troubleshooting, execute root-cause analysis, and drive system optimization.

Requirements & Technical Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional Java backend development experience.
• Core Concepts: Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and common design patterns.
• Tech Stack: Proficient in Spring Boot, SQL, Kafka, and Redis.
• Preferred: Direct experience with web scraping tools and RPA utilities.
