About Monadex
Monadex builds next-generation photographic and interactive experiences that combine hardware engineering, AI-driven image processing, and modern software architecture. Our systems are deployed globally across 30+ countries in retail, events, experiential campaigns, and creative installations. We operate at the intersection of software, hardware, AI, and physical environments. We are building not just products, but a platform for interactive visual experiences.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join us. Depending on your strengths and interests, you will contribute to one or more of the following tracks:
- Platform & Infrastructure Engineering: Build scalable backend systems, fleet management tools, and reliability infrastructure that power and monitor globally deployed devices.
- AI & Computer Vision: Develop real-time image processing and machine learning systems that enhance, transform, and optimize visual experiences.
- Embedded & Hardware Systems: Integrate and manage cameras, printers, and peripherals to ensure seamless communication between software and physical devices.
- Interactive Experience Systems (AR / MR / Multi-device environments): Design and prototype immersive interactive systems that connect AR, mixed reality, RFID, and synchronized devices into cohesive real-world experiences.
This internship provides hands-on exposure to real-world systems deployed internationally. You will work closely with experienced engineers and designers, with access to advanced hardware setups, GPUs, cameras, and live production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to modular, production-grade systems
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews
- Prototype experimental features and evaluate feasibility
- Assist in performance testing, debugging, and deployment preparation
You will work on real systems used in global deployments. This is not a theoretical internship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently studying or recently graduated from Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related program
- Familiarity with at least one of the following: Python, C++, computer vision libraries such as OpenCV, machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, hardware SDKs or device integration
- Interest in: AI / computer vision, system design, hardware integration ,interactive technology, photography or visual systems
What You'll Gain
- Direct mentorship from experienced engineers
- Exposure to AI, computer vision, embedded systems, and distributed infrastructure
- Experience working with real hardware, GPUs, and production environments
- Ownership of meaningful technical modules
- A paid internship with potential for long-term collaboration
If you are excited about building systems that exist both in software and in the physical world, we would love to hear from you.
