Job description

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Our products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search. We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile the list goes on and is growing every day. Additional job description

As a Software Engineer, you will leverage your software development expertise to design, build, and implement agentic tooling and systems that will automate and scale security processes, analyze risks, detect vulnerabilities, and proactively assist developer teams across Google in embedding security best practices throughout the entire development lifecycle. You will be crucial in enabling Google to respond to incoming vulnerability reports and remediate security issues.

Qualifications

Job responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with information security engineers to develop new tools for product security consulting, response and research, especially (but not exclusively) related to AI agents.
• Steer the strategic development of agents and infrastructure to automate vulnerability handling, triage, and conduct variant analysis to reduce manual workloads.
• Design and implementation of Go back-end systems and Python AI agents.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• Experience programming in Go.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 3 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in Python.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence.
• Ability to perform security assessments.
