You'll work directly with the founding team in a small, elite engineering org where you own what you ship end to end.

The Role

As a Principal SDET you'll sit at the intersection of development and quality — building the systems that keep the exchange bulletproof. This is a senior engineering role with real ownership over testing infrastructure, framework architecture, and quality strategy. You'll work directly with backend and frontend engineers to influence system design and drive a culture of quality across the entire platform.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks from scratch — API, UI, and integration
• Build tools to simulate high-concurrency trading environments and identify bottlenecks in the matching engine
• Validate smart contracts and cross-layer interactions across L1/L2
• Own CI/CD integration and drive a green-build culture
• Lead and mentor the existing test team
• Build internal tooling to assist engineers with debugging and local environment setup

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in software engineering, SDET, or backend testing within Web3 or fintech
• Proven track record building and owning E2E automation frameworks from scratch in Python, Go, or TypeScript
• Deep understanding of distributed microservices architecture and QA methodologies
• Experience validating REST and WebSocket APIs under high-load conditions
• On-chain/off-chain integration testing experience — smart contracts, L1/L2 interactions
• Ability to script and verify complex financial scenarios — liquidations, cross-margin, funding rate calculations
• Strong documentation ownership
