Software Engineer - Implementation (Java Developer) SG PR & Citizen

Job Description Main Responsibilities and Deliverables:

58 years of experience in Java development, with proven expertise in custom API

development and system integration.

Proficient in writing SQL for integration queries, with familiarity in at least one of the

following databases for query optimization and tuning: MSSQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.

Desirable to have knowledge of architectural patterns, but well-versed in best practices,

and technical standards.

Ensure adherence to coding standards.

Perform or participate in code reviews and foster a culture of technical excellence.

Hands-on experience in developing complex software applications and components,

write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, and participate in all phases of the

software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Design and implement integrations with various systems and third-party services. Identify

and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize application performance.

Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders and work in a multi

disciplinary environment with Architects, Software Engineers, Business Analysts and PMs

to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications

Should be able to work independently & complete complex tasks. Interface independently

across various teams both internally and externally as needed to complete the work

assigned.

Planning and Performing Unit and functionality testing to ensure fit to design.

Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system stability and reliability.

Proven experience in working in a complex matrix environment, global teams across

multiple time zones

Able to handle tasks from multiple projects with varying priorities simultaneously is

Professional Capabilities

Desirable to have familiarity with Java plug-in development,

Familiar with coding concepts for ensuring high scalability, multi-user and secured coding

Proven experience in identifying and resolving performance issues

Experience with AWS cloud platforms including services relevant to Java application

deployment and management.

Experience in building, deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications using

Docker and Kubernetes, including writing YAML manifests.

Proficient in using version control systems (GitHub) and Continuous Integration/Continuous

Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (Jenkins)

Exposure to application servers, web servers, JavaScript, Unix and basic commands

Experience working in Banking Industry, Actimize, AML, KYC and Fraud solutions are highly

desirable

Experience in designing, developing AI based solutions is desirable
