Software Engineer for SIT with 5 years experience (contract)

Contract Duration: 4 months (with an option to extend by 1 additional month)

About the Project:

We are seeking a Software Engineer to support the enhancement of the CSM Learner Portal, a key application that underpins SIT's ongoing business growth. The project focuses on implementing new features, improving system performance, and ensuring the portal can scale effectively with future demands.

Hosting Environment: AWS Private Cloud (SIT-managed)

Database: Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)

Key Responsibilities:

. Enhance and maintain the CSM Learner Portal using C#, .NET Core, Bootstrap, and Telerik.

. Collaborate with SIT teams to gather requirements, design solutions and implement features that align with the project goals.

. Fix application bugs and address security vulnerabilities flagged during SIT's code scans.

. Ensure all development devices are up-to-date with virus protection and are free from malware.

. Regularly check in source code into SIT's code repository.

. Deliver quality work within the agreed timelines and project milestones.

. Provide daily progress updates and maintain clear communication with SIT stakeholders.

Must-Have Qualifications:

. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software development.

Proficient in:

. Frontend Frameworks: Bootstrap, Telerik

. Programming Languages: C#, .NET Core

. Experience working with MSSQL databases.

. Familiar with Agile development, DevOps practices, and cloud environments.

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
