Software Engineer (Digital Banking & Payment Platform)

Thales Singapore Engineering Competence Centre (ECC) is a well-established R&D and engineering centre serving major customers worldwide in Digital Identity and Security domains ranging from mobile connectivity, IoT, banking & payment to government solutions.

You will join theThalesGemaltoDigitalFirstproject team to push forward the vision of Banking as a Service, combining card digitization, onboarding and risk evaluation platforms all in one for financial institutions to deliver optimized mobile-first experience for their customers.

You will be part of the driving force of our DevSecOps transformation, where we envision multiple teams working together on the same code base allowing full autonomy in solving problems presented by our customers. If you are excited to be part of this movement, we are keen to meet you!

Responsibilities:

• Implement solutions using Gitlab as a platform for source code, continuous integration and deployment
• Implement frontendcomponent to provide generic secure services and cloud solution
• Be responsible for development/testing/deployment for the overall solution
• Participate in the design, implementation, maintenance, validation and documentationwithin a Scrum Team.
• Ensure quality metrics are met in terms of performance, scalability, maintainability, reliability.

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Security / Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Java, with hands-on experience in backend system development.
• Knowledge on version control system (Mercurial/GIT)
• Knowledge on build system (Jenkins/GITLAB)
• Familiar with agile methodology (Scrum)
• Understand the concept of DevSecOps
• Knowledge in Kubernetes, Splunk, DataDog is a plus
• Knowledge in Docker, NoSQL (DynamoDB/MongoDB), MySQL is a plus
