Software Engineer (Application Support)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will work with delivery manager to develop and implement applications to support Business needs.
• Liaise with the infrastructure support and development teams.
• Oversee Business-As-Usual (BAU) activities, ensuring the stability and efficiency of the company's applications.
• Collaborate with users and vendors to promptly address and resolve application issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Work with our infrastructure team to test and complete various server and network upgrade projects.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Understanding of application architecture, integrations, and REST APIs.
• Able to contribute individually and collaborate well with cross-functional team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Hands-on experience in Linux, Unix is an added advantage.
• Experience in working with vendors to resolve complex technical issues is an added advantage.
• Proactive individual who takes ownership and drives tasks through to completion.

EXPERIENCE

• Between 2 - 5 years of Application Development or technical project coordination
• Good understanding of infrastructure and software development life cycle.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and incident management processes.
• Good understanding of software development life cycle models (both Waterfall and Agile).
• Knowledge of Linux/Windows environments.
