Software Developer

Responsibilities :

. Report to the IT System Analyst. Responsibilities include assisting in preparing detailed programming specifications, coding programs, conducting system testing, preparing documentation, and supporting the implementation of the in-house developed Trading Management System.

. Involved in all major in-house application systems that require new functions, enhancement or bug fixing on the Microsoft platform.

. To implement, at the request of the user and approved by the System Analyst, software change proposals, for the purpose of operational enhancements and system upgrade

. To produce adhoc reports or queries when requested and any batch reporting and processing jobs in the systems.

. To attend to user queries and provide assistance to them in the operation of the system

. Develop test plan, drive user acceptance tests and regression tests for new system enhancements. Ensure comprehensive testing is performed so as to achieve a zero-defect implementation and deliver high quality application and system support.

. Be highly responsive to the dynamic nature of the business environment and to quickly react against any critical issues related to the supported systems at all times.

. Manage and maintain software development documentation.

. Provide hands on training to the users on the developed applications.

Requirements :

. Degree in Computer Science with at least 2 years of working experience (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).

. Familiar and have undergone formal training in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Object Oriented Programming (OOP).

. Essential knowledge and experience in the analysis and development of web application, web API and windows application.. Good working knowledge of C#, .NET Core, HTML, and JavaScript. Working knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services is an added advantage.

. Possess solid skills and knowledge of the fundamentals of databases with Microsoft SQL Server 2019 such as queries, store procedures, triggers and functions.

. Good coding skill with strong analytical abilities and able to work independently and under pressure.

. Experience in commodity trade lifecycle workflows, risk management concepts and Commodity Trading Management system integrations is a plus point

. Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills with a pleasant personality and a team player.

. Highly motivated with a strong sense of commitment and able to respond swiftly to critical system issues at all times.
