We are looking for an experienced Software Developer with strong Angular and .NET expertise to join our development and application support team in a banking environment.
You will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting high-quality web applications, working closely with Business Analysts, Architects, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Delivery
- Develop, test, maintain, and enhance scalable web applications using Angular and .NET.
- Build responsive and user-friendly frontend applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Design and develop backend services and RESTful APIs using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/.NET Framework.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business and system requirements.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, QA Engineers, and development teams to deliver user stories and solutions.
- Perform unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
Code Quality & Best Practices
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and testable code.
- Conduct code reviews and follow established coding, security, and development standards.
- Apply secure coding and performance optimisation practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
- Maintain appropriate technical documentation.
DevOps & Continuous Improvement
- Use Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to improving deployment and release processes.
- Support configuration management, build automation, and system integration activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, frameworks, and software development practices.
Essential Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on software development experience with .NET/C#.
- At least 2 years of hands-on Angular development experience.
- Strong experience with Angular 19 or above.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Solid experience with ASP.NET, .NET Core and/or .NET Framework.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and web services.
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or similar.
- Good knowledge of Git and version control systems.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience in frontend and backend web application development.
- Prior experience in a banking or financial services environment is preferred.
Education & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong software development experience with a proven track record in delivering enterprise applications.
- Experience working in Agile development environments and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks and related ecosystems.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Familiarity with software testing frameworks, including unit, integration, and E2E testing.
