Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Software Application Manager to oversee the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise software applications. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, manage application lifecycles, ensure high system availability, and align technology solutions with business objectives.
The Software Application Manager will collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and external vendors to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Application Management
- Manage the complete lifecycle of enterprise software applications.
- Ensure applications meet business requirements, performance expectations, and security standards.
- Define application roadmaps and modernization strategies.
- Monitor application health, availability, and performance.
- Manage application releases, upgrades, and deployments.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor software developers, application support engineers, and business analysts.
- Assign priorities and manage workloads effectively.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
- Foster collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.
Project Delivery
- Manage multiple software implementation and enhancement projects.
- Coordinate with business users to gather and validate requirements.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business units regarding application-related matters.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on application performance and project progress.
Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with software vendors and implementation partners.
- Evaluate third-party applications and technology solutions.
- Monitor vendor SLAs and contract compliance.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure applications comply with organizational security policies.
- Work closely with cybersecurity teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
- Support compliance initiatives such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, MAS TRM, or other regulatory requirements where applicable.
Operational Excellence
- Establish KPIs and SLAs for application support.
- Drive root cause analysis for production issues.
- Implement monitoring, automation, and process improvements.
- Maintain application documentation and knowledge repositories.
Budget & Resource Planning
- Manage application budgets and software licensing.
- Forecast resource requirements.
- Optimize operational costs while maintaining service quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8-12 years of experience in software development, application support, or application management.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing technical teams.
- Experience managing enterprise applications or SaaS platforms.
