As part of our dedicated Youth Service team, you will play a vital role in empowering young individuals, strengthening families, and supporting communities facing challenging transitions. You will provide direct services through casework, group work, and programme delivery across a range of settings including:

  • Youth Residential Services
  • Singapore Prison Service programmes
  • Community Outreach initiatives
  • Other assignments as directed by the Head of Department

Key Responsibilities

A. Casework (Community & Rehabilitation Settings)

  • Build trust and rapport with youths and their families.
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to identify risks, needs, and strengths.
  • Develop, implement, and review individualised intervention plans.
  • Manage case documentation and reporting in accordance with agency standards.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary partners to ensure holistic support.

B. Group Work

  • Design, lead, and evaluate structured group sessions (e.g. psycho-education or therapeutic groups).
  • Tailor group content to meet developmental and emotional needs.
  • Continuously adapt approaches to enhance group engagement and outcomes.

C. Programme Development & Implementation

  • Assist in programme planning through research, data gathering and feasibility checks.
  • Promote programmes to potential participants and stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of assigned programmes, including volunteer coordination, budget management and documentation and impact evaluation
  • Identify service gaps and propose enhancements to increase programme relevance and reach.

D. Supervision

  • Participate in regular supervision for professional development.
  • Provide guidance and support to interns and junior staff where appropriate.

E. Other Duties

  • Carry out other tasks as assigned in line with service needs and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualification: Graduate Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling (or related field).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of direct work with at-risk youth, including case management experience.

Skills:

  • Skilled in case assessment, intervention planning, and outcome tracking
  • Competent in case documentation and report-writing
  • Confident in facilitating group work and managing programme logistics
  • Able to identify community trends and suggest programme improvements

Preferred:

  • Trained in FAST and/or YLS/CMI assessment tools
  • Ability to communicate in other languages to support engagement with diverse clients

Salary commensurate with experience.
