Social Worker (Family Violence and Adult Protection - CPSC)

About Child Protection Specialist Centre (CPSC):

We are dedicated to providing quality home-based services and support to families and children experiencing abuse or severe neglect at home. Referrals are received from the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) Child Protection Services to assist families and children identified as needing non-statutory services and support. Guided by a child-centred, family-focused, and community-based approach, our aim is to empower families to reach their fullest potential and provide ongoing support through life's changes and challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessment and safety planning for clients facing moderate to high-risk family violence and adult protection concerns
• Carry out social investigation, assessment, case formulation, intervention planning.
• Prepare reports and case recordings in a timely manner.
• Implement safety and intervention plans.
• Develop wraparound services to support high-need families through advocacy, referrals and collaboration.
• Prepared to work at least two nights a week and weekends occasionally.
• Conduct preventive programmes

Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Social Work
• Preferably has experience working with adult protection, mental health and/or family violence issues.
• Experience working with high-risk cases will be an advantage.
• Past supervisory experience will be an advantage.
• Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
• Has maturity, communication skills and interpersonal skills to work with professionals and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Able to engage and work with children and adolescents.
