Social Worker / Counsellor / Caseworker - Pre-Family Guidance Order (Pre-FGO), Family Guidance Order (FGO), and Integrated Service Provider (ISP)
Job Description
- Work with youths and families on Family Guidance Order (FGO), and Integrated Service Provider (ISP) related work.
- Conduct assessment, casework & counselling, and groupwork for youth-at-risk / youth offenders and their families.
- Collaborative work with external stakeholders (MSF, Youth Court, Law Enforcement Agencies and Schools)
- You will also be required to contribute to other ad-hoc projects within the team and organisation.
Requirements
- Degree in social work, counselling, or psychology, or related discipline.
- At least 1-2 years experience in working with youth and family will be preferred.
- Resilience in supporting clients through crises that arise during intervention.
- Able to be creative and relentless in engagement of potentially resistant at-risk youths and their families.
- Open to working flexibly outside office hours to match families schedules when needed.
- Open to delivering intervention to families in their homes.
- Counselling skills and knowledge of the social service landscape.
- Strengths based in practice orientation.
- Able to manage complex cases independently.
- Adaptable and takes initiative.
- Insightful and reflective.
- Good report writing skills.
