Role & Responsibilities
o To identify and assess risks inherent in cases by integrating a range of information.
o To use professional tools and working templates to guide staff in case assessment and case planning
o To represent the centre in its advocacy efforts for vulnerable families, with the aim of advocating for these families to have access to equal opportunities through collaborative practice with community partners
- Groupwork and/or Community Work
o To participate in client/community assessments, group/community work processes and specialized intervention strategies
- Operational Managerial Skills (Operational Processes, Policies and Protocols)
o To support the Assistant Senior / Senior / Lead Professionals in the implementation of centre's operational and practice protocols, processes and policies
o Undertake any other duties assigned by the Head of Centre
Qualifications, Competencies & Experience
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution / Degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work from an accredited institution
- Inclination towards research and planning is an advantage

- Ability to demonstrate reflective practice

- Knowledge and application of SASW code of professional ethics and Code of Social Work Practice
- Knowledge of systems and availability of resources with a view to represent clients needs
- Knowledge and ability to empower clients to access needed resources
- Ability to identify available resources, social gaps and conduct relevant analyses
- Possess cultural understanding and social sensitivity
- Technical Competencies
- Competent in MS Office skills
- Office environment home visit may be necessary
