About Us
Metta Preschool Punggol has been offering specialized early intervention programs since 2010, catering to children aged 2 to 6 years old of all backgrounds. Our focus is on supporting children diagnosed or suspected with mild to moderate autism spectrum disorders (ASD), global developmental delays, or intellectual disabilities. With a multidisciplinary approach, we aim to help every child achieve their developmental potential through tailored Individualized Education Plans (IEP) across six domains: fine motor, gross motor, adaptive, cognitive, social communication, and social skills.
Key Responsibilities
1.Main Responsibilities
- Perform all administrative duties to support social work functions, including case documentation, social report writing, minutes, and correspondence.
- Maintain timely and accurate records of all cases in both physical files and IT systems.
- Conduct means testing, including family interviews and home visits when required.
- Support the Social Worker in delivering professional social work services and advice to families of preschool clients.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care for students and their families.
- Ensure confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and professionalism at all times.
- Participate actively in ECHO and GCO meetings with the team and parents.
- Comply with NCSS / MSF / ECDA requirements (SSR, PES, HOMES, QA).
- Engage in professional development by attending relevant training sessions.
2.Other Responsibilities
- Receive training and mentorship from senior Social Workers.
- Provide support in volunteer management when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Social Worker or management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Social Work (recognised by the Singapore Association of Social Workers).
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with children and families experience in a preschool or early intervention setting is an advantage.
- Strong organisational, communication, and administrative skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrates empathy, attention to detail, and commitment to client welfare.
