Job Description
. Attend to enquiries from telephone calls, emails and walk-in visitors and redirect to appropriate staff to manage where necessary
. Packing of food rations, taking charge donation-in-kind inventory
. Reply to routine letters without supervision
. Maintain department housekeeping, confidentiality, privacy and safety standards
. Participate in projects that improve the work processes in the department
. Assist social workers in organizing projects and collaborating with external agencies for internal/external projects
. Writing of meeting minutes
. Gather monthly statistics and assist with research data collection
. Conduct intakes, gather social information and do preliminary investigation on beneficiary's needs to facilitate intervention by Social Worker.
. Management on Category 1 and 2 cases (straight forward)
. Participate in corporate events as assigned
. Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor / Head of Department
Requirements
. Diploma in Social Sciences (Social Work) / WSQ Diploma in Community and Social Services
. Preferably with minimum 1 to 2 years of direct practice experience
. Must be proficient in spoken and written English, and also effectively bilingual in a mother tongue language
. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
. Possess pleasant disposition with good interpersonal and communication skills
. Cooperate with key social workers and team members to deliver social work outcomes
. An independent team player who has empathy and a strong desire to help families, is non-judgemental and must have good listening and communication skills
