Overview

We are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Manager (1-Year Contract) to lead the planning, creation, publishing and optimisation of social media content across The Kallang's social media and content platforms.

As Singapore's premier sports, entertainment and lifestyle destination, The Kallang hosts world-class concerts, sporting events, community programmes and lifestyle experiences throughout the year.

This role will be responsible for developing engaging social-first storytelling that strengthens The Kallang's brand, grows its online communities, and drives awareness, engagement and visitation.

The successful candidate will manage The Kallang's social media ecosystem across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and RedNote (Xiaohongshu), working closely with internal stakeholders, agencies, event organisers, partners, media, and creators to deliver compelling content before, during and after events.

The ideal candidate is highly organised, understands the fast-moving social media landscape, possesses strong copywriting and content planning skills, and has a passion for creating content that resonates with local and regional audiences.

Experience with short-form video production, creator collaborations, and social media analytics will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Management

  • Develop and execute The Kallang's always-on social media strategy aligned with business, brand and marketing objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day operations across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and RedNote (Xiaohongshu).
  • Build annual, monthly and weekly content calendars aligned with key campaigns, concerts, sporting events, venue announcements and corporate initiatives.
  • Ensure content is tailored to each platform's audience, best practices and algorithm requirements.
  • Identify emerging social trends, platform updates and cultural moments that present opportunities for timely content.

Content Planning & Creation

  • Generate creative, social-first content ideas that bring The Kallang's brand stories, venues, events, activities and experiences to life.
  • Develop compelling copy, captions and storytelling across multiple platforms while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Work closely with designers, photographers, videographers and agencies to produce engaging content.
  • Capture and produce real-time content during concerts, sporting events and major activations where required.
  • Develop content series that build community engagement beyond event promotion.
  • Coordinate content approvals with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Video Production & Editing

  • Plan, storyboard and produce short-form video content optimised for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and RedNote.
  • Perform basic video editing using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent editing software.
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose long-form content into engaging social-first formats.
  • Stay updated on trending audio, editing styles and platform-native storytelling techniques.

Community Management

  • Monitor social channels daily and engage with online communities in a timely and professional manner.
  • Respond to comments, direct messages and public enquiries where appropriate.
  • Escalate customer service issues to relevant internal teams when required.
  • Foster meaningful conversations that strengthen audience loyalty and brand affinity.
  • Support social listening initiatives to identify emerging conversations, customer sentiment and reputational risks.

Influencer & Creator Partnerships

  • Identify and manage relationships with influencers, creators and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) aligned with The Kallang's brand.
  • Support influencer engagement for concerts, sporting events, campaigns and venue experiences.
  • Coordinate content briefs, deliverables, approvals and reporting.
  • Evaluate creator performance and recommend future partnership opportunities.
  • Maintain an updated network of local and regional content creators relevant to sports, entertainment, lifestyle and tourism.

Campaign Execution

  • Support integrated marketing campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels.
  • Coordinate social media support for major concerts, sporting events, festivals and destination campaigns.
  • Work closely with event organisers, commercial partners and agencies to maximise social media exposure.
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered on schedule and meet quality standards.

Social Media Analytics & Optimisation

  • Monitor platform performance and prepare regular reports on key social media metrics.
  • Track audience growth, engagement, reach, impressions, video views, watch time, referral traffic and conversions.
  • Utilise social media management and monitoring platforms (e.g. Sprout Social, Meltwater, Brandwatch, Emplifi or similar) to monitor brand performance and audience sentiment.
  • Analyse campaign performance and recommend optimisation opportunities based on data and insights.
  • Stay informed of industry benchmarks and evolving best practices across social platforms.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Brand, Marketing, Events, Partnerships, Commercial, PR & Communications and Customer Experience teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Liaise with external agencies, production partners and event organisers to coordinate content creation and publishing.
  • Support media opportunities, brand activations and corporate announcements through social channels.
  • Provide social media recommendations during campaign planning and event preparation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism or a related discipline with 4–6+ years of experience managing social media for brands, agencies, entertainment, sports, tourism or lifestyle organisations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and/or RedNote (Xiaohongshu).
  • Strong understanding of platform algorithms, content optimisation and audience engagement strategies.
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience developing content calendars and executing integrated social campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of current social media trends, internet culture and emerging digital behaviours.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when supporting major events and live content coverage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in sports, entertainment, destination marketing, tourism, lifestyle or large-scale organisations.
  • Experience creating and editing short-form video content using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent software.
  • Photography and videography skills are an advantage.
  • Experience managing influencer and KOL partnerships from briefing through reporting.
  • Familiarity with social media management and monitoring platforms such as Sprout Social, Meltwater, Brandwatch, Emplifi, Hootsuite or Sprinklr.
  • Experience with paid social campaign coordination and boosting strategies is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of social media analytics tools including Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, YouTube Studio and LinkedIn Analytics.
  • Understanding of social listening, community sentiment analysis and reputation management.
  • Experience covering live events, concerts or sporting events through real-time social content.
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted content creation tools and emerging social media technologies is an advantage.
