GERMS is looking for a fast-moving, culture-aware Social Media Content Specialist who lives and breathes content. This role goes beyond posting on social media. You'll be on-ground at concerts, launches, festivals, media previews, and invite-only experiences — capturing moments as they happen and turning them into content people actually want to watch.
You'll get up-close access to celebrities, artistes, creators, and exclusive events. In return, we expect sharp instincts, strong storytelling, and the ability to move at the speed of culture.

What You'll Do
- Attend concerts, red carpets, brand launches, media events, and exclusive experiences for live social coverage
- Plan content angles, shot lists, and storyboards before events
- Capture engaging short-form content using mobile devices
- Edit fast-turnaround content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other social platforms
- Create live updates, Stories, Reels, TikToks, and behind-the-scenes content in real-time
- Work closely with creatives, strategists, and account servicing teams
- Translate trends, memes, and cultural moments into branded content opportunities
- Ensure content is platform-native, culturally relevant, and audience-first
- Support post-event recaps and campaign reporting
- Maintain a strong visual eye and consistent content quality under fast-paced environments
Requirements
- Strong understanding of social media culture and platform behaviour
- Able to shoot stable, aesthetically pleasing videos and photos using a phone
- Comfortable editing on Canva and mobile editing apps
- Skilled in content planning, sequencing, and visual storytelling
- Fast execution with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and event hours when required
- Able to work independently during live coverage situations
- Good communication and coordination skills on-ground
- Passionate about entertainment, music, lifestyle, pop culture, and internet trends
Bonus Points If You
- Know how to create viral-worthy short-form content
- Have experience covering concerts or entertainment events
- Understand pacing, hooks, captions, and audience retention
- Can confidently direct talents or creators during shoots
- Are familiar with CapCut, Premiere Pro, or mobile-first editing workflows
- Have a strong personal TikTok or Instagram content sense
