We are seeking an experienced Social Care Programme Executive for our upcoming nursing home in Hougang, scheduled to begin operations in early 2026. Initially, you will be required to start at our current branch in Macpherson by the end of 2025.
The Social Care Programme Executive will be responsible to design and execute a social care programme to engage our Nursing Home residents and enrich their lives in an individual or group based setting. You will work with our nursing and allied health team to provide social care and activities for our residents. You will also be in charge of recruiting, training and organizing volunteers in order to support social care programmes for our residents.
Your roles and responsibilities will include but is not limited to:
- Engaging residents in meaningful activities to enrich their lives, stimulate their cognition and improve social interaction between residents and with the community.
- Plan and implement individual and group-based social activities according to residents preferences together with our allied health staff to support our residents social needs and improve their mental health, such as personal grooming (make up, hair styling), group cooking and gardening activities.
- Provide a supportive and inclusive environment during these activities so as to encourage our residents to participate actively, and maintain their independence and functional abilities.
- Plan and implement outings and other external activities and collaborations for our residents.
- Recruit, train and organize volunteers to support our residents, including: 1) Tracking and accrediting volunteers and maintaining a database of volunteers and other partners. 2) Developing and maintaining partnerships with community partners, corporate organizations and other volunteer groups/ individual volunteers.
- Provide support to allied health staff in any other areas as required in order to meet our residents social care needs.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum diploma/ degree in any discipline or equivalent.
- Qualifications in Social Service will be an additional advantage.
- Passionate about interacting with and helping the elderly.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with our residents, colleagues and external partners.
- Creative and innovative in designing and planning of activities and programmes.
- Meticulous in maintaining updated records of volunteers.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
