Reporting to: Account Director Pharma

What we are looking for:

We're looking for an Account Manager, preferably with healthcare experience, to help support a project-based account for a pharmaceutical Business Unit that includes all social media disciplines - content (organic + paid), insights, project management and social creative.

The work is agile and varied and you will be helping deliver social content that visually stands out and pushes the boundaries in innovation and performance.

Our account team has built this account into an award-winning market leader in the space, constantly innovating and performing at or above benchmark levels. The incoming Account Manager will work with a wider team including Account Directors and Account Managers from different Business Units to develop the account above and beyond our current standing to new heights.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading community management efforts to ensure active engagement and responsiveness on all social platforms.
  • Supporting the creation and execution of content calendars, ensuring timely and relevant content delivery.
  • Attending and contributing to client meetings and presentations, providing insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Supporting the briefing and development of creative content, ensuring alignment with client goals and brand guidelines.
  • Staying updated on new social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to continuously enhance account performance.
  • Executing ad-hoc social media requests from clients, maintaining flexibility and responsiveness.
  • Collaborating with internal teams across strategy, social, creative, and insights to deliver cohesive and innovative social media campaigns.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Providing detailed reports and analysis on social media performance, identifying areas for improvement and new opportunities.

What you can bring to Substance:

  • 3+ years Digital / Social Account Management experience within Pharma or Healthcare
  • Experience and proficiency with client facing communication skills
  • Comfortable with communicating strategic-level initiatives with clients at all levels from around the world
  • Working well internally and has experience working with teams across strategy, social, creative and insights
  • Proficient in communicating effectively in a variety of written and verbal formats with a wide range of people; external individuals, organisations, other 3rd parties, etc.
  • Deep level of understanding of all social platforms, innovations and opportunities
  • Feeling at ease working within a fast-paced team environment on various projects simultaneously, working to tight deadlines and has proficient problem solving skills
  • Strong IT skills Word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, etc
  • Experience with proposal writing and presentation of campaign ideas
  • Able to bring new ideas and concepts to a project to keep things fresh
  • Knowledge of creative formats within Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.
  • Knowledge of paid formats and audiences within Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.
  • Interested in and exposure to digital technologies
  • Ability to manage conflicting deadlines
  • Experience with externally promoting medical congress/conference and product milestones
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willing to adjust and stay up to date with the ever changing social media landscape
