Micron's Singapore Back End Manufacturing is looking for a high energy and ambitious individual to join us as a Test Equipment Engineer in MSB Test Engineering department. You will be responsible in supporting the overall Test Operations including, but not limited to, develop frameworks monitoring and improvement initiatives on Engineering performance to plan, develop valuable engineering solutions, driving continuous improvement projects in tester utilization and support new tester setup and qualification. In addition, you will leverage data analytics, automation and AI-enabled tools to improve engineering efficiency, equipment reliability and decision making. You also need to coach and train other TMs to improve engineering capability and personal/professional development.
. Proactively improve test equipment availability using equipment FMEA, Potential Problem Analysis, design improvement or other Continuous Improvement projects.
. Strategize Spare inventory management to achieve most cost-efficient solution to sustain availability and minimize downtime.
. Consistently track key equipment performance indices and generate reports and dashboards for management reviews.
. Perform engineering evaluations to drive equipment efficiency, utilization and capability improvement.
. Automate test equipment data gathering and perform equipment assessment to reduce equipment induced yield losses.
. Utilize data analytics and AI-enabled solutions to identify equipment degradation trends and improve maintenance effectiveness.
. Work closely with manufacturing staff and leading a team of shift technicians to realize output and quality goals.
. Setting up and qualified new tester setups and collaborate with logistics and facilities in the process.
. Participate in solving and prioritizing issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
. Coordinate new product runs, support production deployment of applications and perform validation testing.
. Analyze equipment failures and implement workaround and fix in a timely manner.
. Manage test equipment hardware and software and process changes and documentation.
. Leverage AI-enabled knowledge tools and data-driven insights to accelerate troubleshooting and problem solving.
. Work on projects to improve overall test equipment efficiency and effectiveness.
. Participate in improvement projects and execute to desired results.
. Develop software and automation solutions to monitor test production floor and enhance productivity.
. Review test plans regularly, explore opportunities for test-time cuts for mature products.
. Apply data analytics and AI technologies to optimize equipment performance, productivity and operational efficiency.
. Prepare training and certification materials on failure analysis.
. Conduct training courses and certification.
. Document One-Point lessons.
. Providing documented performance management for all direct reports with formal and informal feedback.
. Coach team members on the effective use of automation, data analytics and AI tools to enhance engineering capability.
AI Responsibilities:
. Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
. Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one's scope of work.
Requirements
. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics, Computer, Data Engineering, or related engineering disciplines with relevant experience.
. Knowledge of Predictive Maintenance, Equipment Automation, Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, or related technologies would be advantageous.
. Familiarity with data analytics, AI/ML, equipment health monitoring, or digital manufacturing solutions is a plus.
. Proficiency in Python, C++, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar programming, analytics, and visualization tools is highly valued.
. Experience with automation, system integration, and Microsoft productivity tools is an advantage.
. Hands-on experience with equipment, manufacturing processes, and operational problem-solving.
. Experience in equipment reliability, downtime reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
. Exposure to automation, data analytics, or AI-enabled solutions would be an added advantage.
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address equipment, process, and operational challenges.
. Ability to leverage data-driven insights to develop sustainable improvement solutions.
. Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
. Ability to influence stakeholders, drive improvements, and support digital transformation initiatives.

Familiarity with MES systems, automation, and data analytics tools (e.g., JMP, Python).
