What The Role Is
You will join a team in designing and implementing population health and fertility health financing policies that seek to ensure affordability for patients, while maintaining sustainability of our healthcare system.
You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
What You Will Be Working On
The work involves:
- Developing and reviewing financing policies for fertility health services, as part of the whole-of-government review on Marriage & Parenthood policies and raise Singapore's Total Fertility Rate. The range of services to be reviewed include In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) procedures, ante-natal and post-natal checks, inpatient deliveries, and fertility screening. The aim of the review is to develop impactful policies that will move the needle in encouraging couples to consider conception, while promoting appropriate care-seeking behaviour and supporting care models that align with national priorities.
- Managing the financing and funding of public healthcare institutions in the area of preventive and population health services. This will involve leading and coordinating internal and external stakeholders to manage the process from developing and reviewing policies, to ensuring smooth implementation of changes through system optimisation.
- Handling analysis of costing, utilisation, and billing datasets to evaluate the adequacy of government subsidy and funding, and the impact of financing interventions. The analysis should lead to insights that inform policy design.
- You will have the opportunity to develop, review and implement new funding models to carry out our national strategies.
