We are seeking a motivated, results-driven individual to grow MariBank's SME & Corporate Banking business by acquiring new-to-bank customers and building relationships with key decision-makers.
This client-facing role requires strong prospecting, networking, and credit fundamentals, with a primary focus on loan lead generation and approvals.
Job Description
- Proactively prospect and acquire new SME loan partnerships through cold calling, referrals, networking, and industry events to meet business growth targets.
- Manage end-to-end SME loan applications, approvals, and maintenance, engaging the credit risk team to balance portfolio growth with robust risk mitigation.
- Understand key P&L levers of the SME loan portfolio and identify opportunities for cross-sell and utilisation based on business lifecycle knowledge.
- Conduct CDD, KYC, and onboarding reviews, ensuring compliance with MAS regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with product, operations, risk, and credit teams to improve processes and enhance product propositions based on customer feedback and portfolio data.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in SME loan product sales or credit analyst role, having existing loan broker contacts is a strong plus.
- Sound understanding of business financials and credit fundamentals, with the ability to identify quality business opportunities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
