Sitecore Developer

The role of a Sitecore Developer involves handling the back end development of public websites that utilize the Sitecore platform. This position requires technical expertise in back end development, encompassing skills such as data exchange management between applications and browsers, server-side programming, and proficiency in programming languages that control content display in browsers.

Responsibilities

. Develop, enhance, test, debug, and document backend components for websites and applications built on the Sitecore CMS/XM Cloud platform, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.

. Build custom integrations with external applications and services using REST APIs, webhooks, and custom codealigning with Sitecore's composable architecture and headless delivery patterns.

. Implement front-end interaction logic using JavaScript and/or libraries such as jQuery, Vue, or React (depending on project requirements).

. Apply and establish coding standards and best practices within the team conduct regular code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.

. Champion quality through unit testing, integration testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

. Troubleshoot and analyze issues using log data, telemetry, and diagnostic tools provide mentorship to other developers when resolving complex technical problems.

. Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle-including requirement analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and optimization.

. Collaborate with architects to design scalable solutions, including Sitecore pipelines, item architecture, component personalization, and multi-site strategies.

. Optimize system performance using best practices related to caching, indexing, rendering, and content delivery.

. Research new Sitecore features (e.g., XM Cloud, Sitecore Search, Personalize, Sitecore AI), evaluate tools, and contribute to proof-of-concept activities.

Requirements

. Passion for web development and creating exceptional digital experiences.

. Degree, Diploma, or equivalent certification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Digital Media, or related fields.

. Hands-on experience with C#/VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, MVC, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML/CSS.

. Proven experience developing on Sitecore XM/XMC/XP (including templates, pipelines, indexing, workflows, and SXA preferred).

. Experience working in Azure environments, including App Services, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.

. Strong understanding of distributed systems, object-oriented programming, solution architecture, and web application security.

. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to turn requirements into working solutions efficiently.

. Clear, effective communication and strong collaboration skills.

. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with strong ownership of deliverables.
