Job Description & Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in project planning, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with timeline, quality, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor site progress, performance of subcontractors, and report updates to the Project Manager.
  • Conduct site meetings with workers and subcontractors to communicate project requirements and progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of material usage, labor costs, and other project-related expenses.
  • Assist with procurement of materials and hiring/assignment of laborers.
  • Support contractors and engineers in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of site activities.
  • Motivate and manage workers to maintain high productivity and morale.
  • Foster positive working relationships with site workers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure all changes in project plans are communicated and executed effectively.

Safety & Compliance

  • Educate workers on safety procedures and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Report and document any accidents or incidents on site ensure immediate first aid is administered.
  • Ensure compliance with local/state construction regulations and industry standards.
  • Proactively identify potential site problems and implement preventive measures.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant site supervision or project coordination experience
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, technical drawings, and industry standards.
  • Familiar with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with workers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Possession of a valid WSQ Safety Supervisor / Workplace Safety certification will be an advantage.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
