Job Summary
Oversee cable work site operations by supervising construction activities, coordinating resources, and ensuring compliance with contract specifications and safety standards to deliver projects on schedule and within quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead site supervision to ensure all cable installation works comply with contract drawings and technical specifications
- Develop and maintain project schedules to monitor and meet deadlines aligned with work plans
- Coordinate site planning and resource allocation, including workforce scheduling and material delivery, to optimize construction progress
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with main and sub-contractors to resolve site issues and facilitate smooth project execution
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to regulatory standards
- Monitor project progress continuously and provide timely reports to the Project Manager to support informed decision-making
- Enforce health and safety regulations on site by applying up-to-date safety codes and promoting compliance with WSH requirements
- Support the Project Manager with scheduling, coordination, and administrative tasks to ensure project milestones are achieved
- Proactively identify and resolve worksite challenges to maintain uninterrupted workflow and meet project objectives
- Participate in site meetings to represent site operations and contribute to project planning and problem-solving
- Stay informed on industry safety advancements and regulatory updates relevant to cable construction projects
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management to support overall project success
Required competencies and certifications
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, particularly cable route and section drawings, to guide site activities
- Experience in civil, electrical, or utility construction, preferably with power cable projects, to apply relevant technical knowledge
- Basic safety knowledge and commitment to following Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements to maintain a safe work environment
- Certifications such as BCSS, PSM, WSQ Safety Supervisor, or Work at Height to demonstrate competency in safety and site supervision
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements from SP Group, LTA, PUB, or similar agencies to ensure compliance with industry standards
- MHA clearance completed to facilitate site access and regulatory compliance
Salary: SGD 3,500 - 7,000 (based on experience and certifications obtained)
Working Days: 6 days per week
Working Hours: 8 hours per day
