Responsibilities
The Global System Service team owns the infrastructure services and management solutions that power ByteDance's data centers outside of China - from day-to-day operations to long-term architecture design and maintenance. The team specializes in composing end-to-end solutions by drawing on both open-source community tools and in-house developed products, tailored to both the business requirements and the operational complexities of large-scale infrastructure across ByteDance's non-China regions. Our mission is to deliver efficient infrastructure solutions and a stable, secure system environment for ByteDance's global business. Responsibilities We are looking for a self-motivated traffic solution engineer and DevOps expert. As a traffic solution engineer and DevOps expert, your responsibilities will include: - Design, configure and maintain flexible proxy service deployments that accommodate diverse and evolving forwarding patterns, including complex routing rules, protocol handling, and access control requirements. - Partner with business stakeholders to understand traffic forwarding requirements and translate them into practical, deployable proxy service solutions using a combination of cloud products and in-house platforms. - Rapidly prototype and iterate on traffic solutions to validate approaches and accelerate delivery, prioritizing deployment efficiency and time-to-value over large-scale infrastructure design. - Build and maintain observability pipelines covering log collection, metrics aggregation, and usage analysis to provide business stakeholders with actionable insights into traffic behavior. - Serve as the first point of contact for online incidents and business inquiries related to traffic services triage issues, coordinate resolution, and communicate status clearly to stakeholders. - Document solution patterns and reusable configurations to build a knowledge base that accelerates future delivery and onboarding.
Qualifications
