Roles & Responsibilities

1. Quantity taking off
2. Study pre-contract files
3. Identify specified or equivalent materials
4. Study pre-contract quotations and to obtain new quotations for works
5. Check availability of stock of materials and their delivery time
6. Check/sourcing of quotations, clarify, and assist in the negotiation with sub-contractors and suppliers
7. Reconcile quantities in contract and those claimed by sub-contractors and suppliers
8. Monitor, measure, and price variation works
9. Prepare periodic progress valuation
10. Check progress claims submitted by sub-contractors
11. Study all site instructions issued and advise Project Manager of time and cost implications
12. Monitor the expenses of the project and advise the Project Manager on the financial status
13. Brief site staff on procedure of recording and confirming oral instructions
14. Closing of final account
